partners here at Cooney & Conway, and I've been here since 1983. Our general
philosophy is to be the best possible courtroom advocates that can be for our
clients and their families. So after a client and speaks to one of our
attorneys, usually the next step is for us to arrange an in-person conversation.
Most of our clients who are battling difficult diseases, are not really
physically able to come downtown and meet in our offices. So, in many, many situations
our attorneys and our people are going out into their homes and meeting with
them for as long as it takes to develop a true understanding of what they've been
through. So what we try to do in the beginning is to let them know that we
understand to some extent what they're going through and also try to be
anticipated the obvious questions that are on their minds. On average our
clients are in the court system with us for two to three years, sometimes less
than that , sometimes it's more.
At the end of the day the service that we provide
for them is one that will help them best deal with a very serious legal problem. So it's very important to make sure the client understands not only what we're
going to do but why we're going to do it and how we're going to get it done..
